Karen Ely, Women's Author and Retreat Facilitator - A Woman's Way Retreats and Workshops [Sedona Arizona] In 2003 Karen Ely fulfilled a lifelong dream of creating a women's spiritual retreat program. Located in Sedona, Arizona, A Woman's Way is her latest project in a life filled with commitment to issues affecting women.

Through her 30 year non-profit career - from domestic violence and sexual assault to drug prevention and welfare-to-work – Karen has helped assist many women through difficult life transitions. It is her hope that A Woman's Way will benefit other women searching for a spiritual center and a path to find themselves. 

Karen is the author of the well-received memoir, Daring to Dream: Reflections on the Year I Found Myself published in 2006, which chronicles the end of her 32-year marriage, and A Retreat of My Own, a personal retreat guide, published in 2008. As a counselor for 13 years, Pat Miner has felt privileged to work with women overcoming the traumas that have distorted their vision of themselves.  Helping women discover and honor the incredible person they already are has deepened Pat's dedication to helping women get in touch with their inner wisdom and voice.  Pat believes that now more than ever it is important for women to find their voice, step into their power and share the wonderful gifts they bring to the world.

Laura Theimer - Women's Retreat Staff at A Woman's Way Retreats and Workshops [Sedona Arizona]

Laura Theimer is a woman who honors life's transitions. She earned her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Women's Studies at the age of 42. She is an avid believer in lifelong learning and also that life is our greatest teacher. Laura has a longtime commitment to issues affecting women and to assisting people through challenging life transitions. She is a dedicated writer and enjoys facilitating women's circles.
 
April Ely earned her MSW from Smith College. Since that time, April's career has been committed to assisting those often disenfranchised in our society . . . from people in hospice care to women and children affected by family violence and homelessness. April is an avid reader and enjoys helping to facilitate women's growth.
