| Women's
Wisdom
In this workshop retreat, there will be opportunities to see the themes in our own lives as we listen to Jean Bolen weave myth and understanding together as she does in her books, most notably in
Goddesses in Everywoman. We see that choices shape who we are and who we are becoming. We will have the opportunity to appreciate that spirituality, wisdom, activism and creativity are expressions and reflections of archetypes within us, and to be reminded of liminal experiences which are deeply personal and sacred. As spiritual beings on a human path, we have a need for meaning and a yearning to be authentic and creative. We seek to live lives that matter, especially as we realize how relatively short and precious life is.
Jean will do a guided meditation with us to provide access to our own inner symbols and images. Small circles with a spiritual center, described in
The Millionth Circle, will provide opportunities to share and listen to one another. The beauty of nature around us in the day and the awesome night sky above us will be part of the experience. You are encouraged to bring a journal or a sketchbook. For more time to be with yourself, go on walks, or experience Sedona, the retreat center offers participants the opportunity to stay on after the workshop itself ends on Sunday. |
