A Weekend Retreat
with
Dawna Markova and MJ Ryan
March 9 - 11, 2007
Hosted at
L'Auberge de Sedona |
|

|
|
Dawna Markova, bestselling
author of I Will Not Die an Unlived Life, and her
close friend, Mary Jane Ryan, one of the creators of the
Random Acts of Kindness series, are delighted to
offer their special brand of wisdom for an extraordinary
retreat weekend - from one set of best friends for you
and your best friend.
We all have social
friends. But a soul friend, what John O'Donahue calls
anam cara, is a person who understands you as you truly
are - heart, head and soul. Your soul feels like it can
come home to itself with this person. She's your
handhold in the darkness, the person who gently and
firmly confronts you with your blindness, to see for you
when you cannot. A soul friend awakens your life and
helps you free the possibilities within yourself.
The person you bring to this retreat may not yet be a
soul friend, but have the potential to be one. Or maybe
the two of you have already identified yourselves this
way.
Friendship of this
kind is always an act of recognition. In this weekend
retreat, we will: |
|
|
~ |
Explore what
we as individuals believe we're on earth
to do |
|
~ |
Uncover what
we're in one another's life for at the
soul level |
|
~ |
Look at our
own unique gifts and talents |
|
~ |
Learn how
our differences can be resources to one
another |
|
~ |
Trace the
jewels in our history - moments together,
ways we've supported one another that
really mattered |
|
~ |
Identify
ways of supporting one another through
challenges in the present and future |
|
|
|
|
We will explore these issues through journaling, walking and
talking; through one-on-one creative processes; and through
a variety of auditory, visual and kinesthetic activities.
Join Dawna and MJ, soul friends for the past 15 years,
for a friendship and soul enriching experience. |
