A Weekend Retreat with Joan Anderson
February 22 - 24, 2008
Held at
L'Auberge de Sedona in Sedona, Arizona |

After stepping away from
her need and desire to be all things to all people, how
can a woman plot the second leg of her life without losing
hold of the threads of her experience and relationships?
Joan Anderson's upcoming
book, A Second Journey, is a memoir of how she
succeeded in plotting her second course. Second journeys
often commence when the power of youth is gone and the
dreams of former times seem shallow and pointless. For
women, this journey frequently involves an attempt to
develop a sense of personal worth beyond the roles that
she has played. By acknowledging her "ache" that comes
from be pulled off course time and time again, a woman
begins to design a life in her own image.
Such journeys demand that she
move away from the familiar--isolate, relocate, and then
finally return new to an old place. In the process she
learns to walk alongside herself.
This weekend will help the
retreater plot her own second journey. The program will
include conversations with Joan Anderson, a contemplative
walk into the powerful Sedona red rocks, soul collage, and
other exercises that allow a woman to spiral in to her
very center. |
