Truth North: Mapping Your Authentic Trail - A Women's Retreat hosted by Julia Cameron at A Woman's Way in Sedona, Arizona
A Two-Day Women's Workshop with Julia Cameron
April 12 & 13, 2008
Held at the Sedona Creative Life Center in Sedona, Arizona

Discover your self with Julia Cameron, author of The Artist's Way, a groundbreaking book credited with helping millions of people live authentic lives. Stop telling yourself "It's too late." Stop waiting until you make enough money to do something you love. Stop thinking it's just your ego whenever you yearn for a more fulfilling life. Release your beliefs that dreams don't matter, that your family and friends will think you're crazy, or that living an authentic life is something out of your reach.

Come explore ways to face and resolve fear, remove emotional scar tissue, discard damaging old ideas, and strengthen your confidence. Move beyond pain and constriction and learn to recognize, nurture, and protect your dreams. This weekend, working with a combination of experiential exercises, lectures, readings, and question-and-answer sessions, you will experience an intensive, guided encounter with your own self, including your private villains, champions, wishes, fears, dreams, hopes, and triumphs.

About the Women's Retreat Facilitator
Julia Cameron

Julia Cameron has had a remarkable career -- one which has in turn given remarkable help to millions of others. Herself an award-winning poet, playwright, and filmmaker, she has written twenty-five books, ranging from her widely praised novel, The Dark Room, to her volumes of children's poems and prayers. Despite her extensive film and theatre credits, Cameron is best known for her hugely successful works on creativity. The Artist's Way has sold over three million copies worldwide; her follow-up bestsellers The Vein of Gold, Walking in this World, and The Right to Write are likewise flagship books which are taught in universities, churches, human potential centers and even in tiny clusters in the jungles of Panama.

Credited with having founded a new human potential movement which has enabled millions of people to realize their dreams, Cameron eschews the title "creativity expert," preferring to describe herself simply as an artist. "Artists have always mentored, I just do it on a wider scale."

Citing her work as an authentic spiritual path, Cameron's work has been embraced by such diverse spiritual groups as Buddhists, Sufis, Roman Catholics, Church of Religious Science and Unity with "quite a few British Wiccans thrown in." Her three affirmative prayer books, Heartsteps, Blessings, and Transitions are widely used, beloved for both their optimism and pragmatism.
