Julia Cameron: Creativity and Spirituality: Dancing Partners further along The Artist's Way.
A Two-Day Women's Workshop with Julia Cameron
October 23 & 24, 2010

Held at the Sedona Creative Life Center in Sedona, Arizona

Discover your creative self with Julia Cameron, author of The Artist's Way, a groundbreaking book credited with helping millions of people live authentic lives. Stop telling yourself "It's too late." Stop waiting until you make enough money to do something you love. Stop thinking it's just your ego whenever you yearn for a more fulfilling life.

Julia cites her work as an authentic spiritual path, having been embraced by such diverse spiritual groups as Buddhists, Sufis, Roman Catholics, Church of Religious Science and Unity with "quite a few British Wiccans thrown in." Her three affirmative prayer books, Heartsteps, Blessings, and Transitions are widely used, beloved for both their optimism and pragmatism.

Julia Cameron believes that we often speak of God as "the Creator" without realizing that "creator" is another word for "artist." In this two-day workshop, Julia Cameron will help identify and unravel old and unworkable ideas of God. Drawing on ten of her thirty books, Cameron will lead participants into a stronger communion with the Great Creator. We can appeal to God for artist-to-artist help. Using prayer, meditation, experiential exercises and Q&A, Julia Cameron will teach how to create a solid pathway for the spiritual journey. Writing by hand, we will learn how to make a handmade life.

Julia Cameron has had a remarkable career -- one which has in turn given remarkable help to millions of others. Herself an award-winning poet, playwright, and filmmaker, she has written twenty-five books, ranging from her widely praised novel, The Dark Room, to her volumes of children's poems and prayers. Despite her extensive film and theatre credits, Cameron is best known for her hugely successful works on creativity. The Artist's Way has sold over three million copies worldwide; her follow-up bestsellers The Vein of Gold, Walking in this World, and The Right to Write are likewise flagship books which are taught in universities, churches, human potential centers and even in tiny clusters in the jungles of Panama.Julia Cameron, Author of The Artist's Way - About the Women's Workshop Facilitator
