Joie de Vivre . . . the expression
itself summons up visions of joy,
adventure, and opportunities yet to
be realized. Join experienced
facilitator, Karen Ely, and nine
other amazing women from all over
the world for six days of serenity,
personal growth, community,
creativity and a quiet step into
simpler times . . . all in the
picturesque French countryside of
Burgundy. |

Experience the unique opportunity of stepping back from your
day-to-day busyness and returning to the simplicity of
country life, French style. We will be lodged in a recently
renovated 300-year old farmhouse, set amidst the rolling
farmland and vineyards of France's Burgundy region, in many
ways unchanged from 300 years ago. Acres of fertile land,
clear and starry nights, fresh air, the scent of freshly
baking bread, organic gardens, time to wander and reflect,
and a community of women quietly working together and
supporting each other.
From the moment you arrive at the retreat on Sunday evening
until you pack to leave the following Saturday morning,
experienced facilitator, Karen Ely, will lead you on a quiet
exploration back to the person you were born to be. We will
walk quietly in nature, sit joyfully in circle, journal and
meditate, create communal art projects, plant and harvest in
the garden, make bread and jam, enjoy wine tastings, and
gather each evening to joyfully create our evening meal
together, as women have been doing since the beginning of
recorded time . . . |
| |
|
When I walk into my kitchen today, I
am not alone.
Whether we know it or not, none of
us is.
We bring fathers and mothers and
kitchen tables
and every meal we have ever eaten.
Food is never just food. It's also a
way
of getting at something else:
Who we are, who we have been, and
who we want to be.
~ Molly Wizenberg |

In today's hectic time-starved world it becomes even more
important to find time for quiet renewal, time to step back
and assess who you are and where you're going. Join us on
this amazing personal and cultural journey, one that has the
capacity to give you back to you. |
