I think everything in the world is interesting, and I think
our minds tend to narrow the possibilities and to think this
one is better than that one. And when we give up the idea of
limiting things to the best; we take everything.
~ John Cage
Join experienced facilitator, Karen Ely, and a community of
like-minded women for a
quiet exploration back to yourself, surrounded by the
tranquility and spectacular scenery of the Hollyhock
Learning Centre in Cortes Island, British Columbia.
Karen believes that in today's hectic time-starved world it
becomes even more important to find time for renewal, time
to step back and assess where we've come from and who we are
after a lifetime of being everything to everybody. A space
to dream. A space to let go of all the wouldas, shouldas and
couldas in order to make room for a new way of being, one
that's firmly based in our authentic selves, one filled with
joy and passion.
Daring to Dream: Reflections on the Year I Found Myself
is Karen's personal story of rebirth following the end of
her 32-year marriage, of coming to grips with a life that
she could no longer live and walking toward a self that she
no longer knew. And eventually discovering that she had the
strength, power and wisdom to grow from life's challenges.
Throughout the weekend, Karen will be sharing her personal
story and the tools that supported her on a magical journey
back to herself.
Through large and small group exercises, quiet, music,
joyful playing, and journaling, Karen will guide
participants through an exploration back to themselves.
Throughout the two days women will spend time in silence and
joy, eat chocolate mindfully, connect deeply with
themselves, make new friends and leave with a passion and
plan for the rest of their lives.
We get many chances in life to do more, run faster, be more
productive. However, it is rare that we receive the precious
opportunity to do less and be more. |
